There are a wide range of metals and alloys that can be used to manufacture sheet metal. Here are some of the most common:
Aluminum.
Copper. A copper conductor has a higher electrical conductivity and a higher thermal conductivity than an aluminum conductor. There is, however, a cost associated with this method as well.
High strength steel. It is made from sheets of high strength steel that makes up military armor plates. Steel is alloyed with a variety of elements, such as carbon, manganese, and copper, in order to enhance the hardness of the material.
The steel is hot rolled.
