Inconel, a nickel-chrome alloy, contains 50% nickel. Incoloy is a nickel, iron, and chromium alloy containing less than 50% nickel. Additionally, these alloys differ in terms of their specific applications and suitability.
Corrosion-resistant alloys are the most flexible and widely used. Due to its reduced and partly oxidized state, it is very resistant to corrosion. There is a limited supply of fasteners, so larger-diameter fasteners cannot be manufactured.
Among forged fittings, socket-weld fittings and threaded fittings are the two most common types. Fillet welds connect socket-weld fittings to pipes, whereas threaded fittings screw onto pipes.
