DETAILED INFORMATION
Purohit Pipe Industries stocks a wide range of sizes of Stainless Steel 316L Plates, which makes us able to provide fast delivery and the best prices. Among the oldest and government-approved suppliers of ASTM A240 Grade 316L Plate, we are also certified stockists and exporters with two stars. In Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Middle East, our company exports approximately 600 tons of stainless steel sheets, plates, coils, strips, and foils to the petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries. Our main customers are oil and gas companies and power generation companies, which require us to keep genuine materials with all mill test reports.
The higher nickel content in 316L stainless steel plates makes them more corrosion-resistant than 304 stainless steel plates. Stainless Steel 316L Plates are made from austenitic stainless steel and are widely used in a wide range of applications. Due to their resistance to atmospheric corrosion, ASTM A240 UNS S316L00 Plates are ideal for marine applications. 316L plates are resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion due to their chemical composition, in addition to having 2-3% molybdenum in them. When exposed to high temperatures, Stainless Steel 316L Plates exhibit improved corrosion resistance due to their composition.
The UNS S316L00 Plate is used in tanks, evaporators, and pharmaceutical equipment because of its unique characteristics. A variety of applications for AISI 316L Plates include exhaust manifolds, jet engine parts, and pharmaceutical equipment. Due to these enhanced properties, 316L materials are more expensive than 304 materials. 316L materials offer excellent corrosion and rust resistance as well as enhanced durability. Despite the fact that SUS 316L Plate material can be hardened, all current methods adversely affect its corrosion resistance.
A DIN 1.4401 plate is also highly fabricable, weldable, easy to maintain, and easy to clean. It is resistant to many acids, including chlorides, bromides, etc., especially at high temperatures. Stainless Steel 316L Plate is used in many applications, including marine applications and kitchen utensils, among others.
We offer 2B Finish 316L Grade Stainless Steel Plate in customized sizes, dimensions, and finishes with an added coating that enhances corrosion resistance.

What is SS 316L plate grade?
It is a grade of stainless steel plate that is known as SS 316L. As a low-carbon version of SS 316, it has been enhanced with molybdenum to enhance its corrosion resistance as well. Stainless steel 316L plate offers excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of environments, including marine and industrial environments, and this material is widely used in the chemical, petrochemical, and food processing industries, due to its corrosion resistance.
What is 316L stainless steel plate used for?
Stainless steel plate 316L is one of the most common types of stainless steel that is used in a range of applications that require excellent corrosion resistance, such as chemical, petrochemical, and food processing industries. Moreover, due to its biocompatibility, as well as its resistance to corrosion and pitting, it is also used in manufacturing pharmaceutical equipment, surgical instruments, and medical implants. There are several other common applications of 316L stainless steel plate, such as architectural and structural applications, as well as applications in the marine and aerospace industries as well.

The stainless steel 316L is a highly popular grade of stainless steel that is widely used in a wide variety of industries because of its excellent corrosion resistance, its high strength, and its good formability. The following are some of the advantages and disadvantages of stainless steel 316L plates:
Advantages:
- The corrosion resistance of stainless steel 316L is excellent, which makes it suitable for use in harsh environments such as chemical processing, marine environments, and the medical field, which require corrosion resistance.
- There are many benefits to stainless steel 316L. It has a high tensile strength and is capable of withstanding high temperatures and pressures.
- Stainless Steel 316L is an easy-to-form and easy-to-weld material, so it can be used for a variety of different applications due to its good formability.
- It is hygienic because stainless steel 316L is easy to clean and maintain, which makes it suitable for use in food processing and medical equipment.
- An attractive appearance: Stainless Steel 316L has an attractive appearance that can be polished up to a high shine, or brushed for a more matte appearance.
Disadvantages:
- There is a significant difference in price between stainless steel 316L and other grades of stainless steel.
- It should be noted that stainless steel 316L does not contain any magnetic properties, which can be a disadvantage in some applications where magnetic properties are desired.
- It is important to note that Stainless Steel 316L can be sensitive to high temperatures, and in some environments it may experience stress corrosion cracking.
- Reactivity with chemicals: Stainless Steel 316L is capable of reacting with some chemicals, such as chlorine and chlorides, which can lead to pitting and corrosion as a result of the reaction.
