The Stainless Steel 316 Plates are made from austenitic stainless steel and are most widely used in a wide range of applications. As a result of their higher nickel content, the 316 grade is more corrosion-resistant than the 304 grade. Because they are capable of withstanding atmospheric corrosion, ASTM A240 UNS S31600 Plates are an excellent choice for marine applications. In addition to having 2-3% molybdenum in its chemical composition, 316 plates are also more resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion because of their composition. Due to the composition, the Stainless Steel 316 Plates also exhibit improved corrosion resistance when exposed to elevated temperatures.

The UNS S31600 Plate is used in tanks, evaporators, and pharmaceutical equipment due to its unique characteristics. AISI 316 Plates are also used in a variety of applications related to exhaust manifolds, jet engine parts, and pharmaceutical equipment. Furthermore, 316 materials offer excellent resistance to corrosion and rusting, as well as enhanced durability. As a consequence of these enhanced properties, 316 materials are more expensive than 304 materials. In spite of the fact that the SUS 316 Plate material can be hardened, all current procedures have a negative effect on its corrosion resistance.

DIN 1.4401 Plates are also highly fabricable and weldable. They are easily maintained and cleaned without much effort. They are resistant to many acids, including chlorides, bromides, etc., especially at high temperatures. There are many uses for the ASME SA240 Stainless Steel 316 Plate, including marine applications and kitchen utensils.

2B Finish 316 Grade Stainless Steel Plate comes with an added coating, which enhances its corrosion resistance. This grade is available in customized dimensions, sizes, and finishes.
