DETAILED INFORMATION
The Purohit Pipe Industries are leading importers and suppliers of ferrous and nonferrous metals. We also offer SS316L Black Bars and household stainless steel products. Our entire product line is customized to meet the needs of our customers. We provide high-quality products and excellent customer service. Due to this, we have clients all over the world.
Carbon, nickel, copper, chromium, titanium, iron, and manganese are all components of SS316L Black Bar. Physical and mechanical properties of rods and bars include density, yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, modulus of expansion, and electrical expansion.
There are many specifications associated with these rods and bars, including their dimensions, finishes, forms, applications, types, sizes, shapes, surfaces, grades, tolerances, and conditions. There are different types of bars and rods available, including round bars & rods, hexagonal bars & rods, hot-rolled bars & rods, cold-rolled bars & rods, bright and billet bars & rods.
As a result of its excellent formability and high-temperature ductility, SS316L Black Bar offers better performance at high temperatures. In polluted environments and for storing hostile chemicals, rods and bars made of these materials are excellent. These bars and rods are characterised by high corrosion resistance and strength. When molybdenum is added to solid solutions, they become stronger and more ductile.
There are many industries that use SS316L black bars, including chemical processing, food processing, offshore oil drilling, petrochemicals, and many others. Power generation, paper industry, pulp industry, pharmaceutical industry, seawater equipment, etc.
We test our products several times. These tests ensure that the products are of high quality. Our products are tested for hardness, micro and macro tests, chemical tests, positive material tests, pitting resistance tests, and more. Our products are also transported safely. Therefore, we offer a variety of packaging options.

What is the SS316L Black Bar?
In spite of the fact that 316 black stainless steel half round bars rank second in importance when compared with grade 304, it is one of the stronger steel grades amongst the austenitic stainless steels. Stainless steel hex bars of grade 316 black stainless steel contain a significant amount of molybdenum. Due to the presence of molybdenum in 316 black stainless steel round bars, they are more corrosion resistant as compared to Grade 304. As a result of its resistance to chloride environments, the alloy is especially resistant to general corrosion, such as pitting and crevice corrosion.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of SS316L Black Bars?
As the name suggests, SS316L black bar is a type of stainless steel bar that has been coated with a black oxide coating to provide additional protection against corrosion as well as enhance its appearance. A few of the potential advantages and disadvantages of using SS316L black bars are listed below.
Advantages:
- Corrosion resistance:
A high level of corrosion resistance makes SS316L black bars suitable for use in harsh environments where exposure to moisture or chemicals may cause other materials to deteriorate due to moisture or chemicals exposure. - Aesthetic appeal:
There is no doubt that the black oxide coating gives the SS316L black bars a sleek, modern look that can enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the product as a whole. - Durability:
Black bars made from stainless steel SS316L are extremely durable and can withstand heavy use without becoming damaged or worn out.
Disadvantages:
- Limited availability.
It is possible that SS316L black bars may be harder to find than other types of stainless steel bars, which may limit their availability in certain regions or markets. - Higher costs:
As a result of the black oxide coating process, the price of SS316L black bars can be higher than the price of untreated stainless steel bars. - Potential for wear and tear:
In spite of the fact that SS316L black bars are durable, the black oxide coating may wear off over time, exposing the underlying stainless steel to corrosion or other types of damage.
In general, SS316L black bars are a good choice for applications where corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal are important, but they may not be the best choice for all situations due to their inherent limitations. Before selecting SS316L black bars or any other material for a project, it is important to consider factors such as the cost, availability, and the specific requirements of the project.
