As far as coating solutions are concerned, there is no silver bullet, and that is where our technical expertise plays an important role.
A fluoropolymer coating can be applied in several forms, and it is imperative that the coating system be carefully selected in order to achieve the best results.
Pure fluoropolymer systems
Although the coating isn’t actually ‘pure’ these are coating systems where the exposed film is as pure as possible, so the interaction between the coating and the mating part or process is with a coating containing minimal additives, such as pigments, surfactants, or binder resins. As a result, the fluoropolymer’s full properties can be exploited, such as the low friction and inert properties of PTFE or its excellent release properties. To ensure adhesion to the base material and enhance corrosion resistance, these types of systems require a prepared substrate and primer or base coat.
Multi-layer systems
This type of system is built up in layers of either two or three layers. A primer or base coat is applied at first, followed by a mid-coat, and finally a topcoat. It is common for multilayer systems to contain more additives, such as pigments and fillers, and to be designed to produce aesthetically pleasing films. A prepared substrate is always necessary for this type of system.
Single layer systems
One-layer coatings are the most diverse. These are blends of fluoropolymer, resin, pigments, and other additives such as ceramic fillers to provide reinforcement, corrosion inhibitors, MoS2 or graphite for bearings, dry lubrication, and anti-galling applications. Nickel-containing coatings can also be used for electrical conductivity or static dissipation.
Flexible Coatings
The coating has been specially developed for use on flexible substrates like rubber and elastomers, as well as temperature-sensitive substrates like plastics, carbon fiber, and even glass.
As a result of exposure to UV light, this coating can also protect the substrate against chemical attack and degradation as a result of chemical degradation.

PTEF Coated A234 Gr. WPB Pipe End Bevel Protector Cap |
What is a PTFE coated A234 Gr? PTFE Coated Pipe End Cap? |
Pipe end caps act as a protective device and are designed to protect pipe ends of various shapes. The main purpose of using pipe end caps is to waterproof the connections. They are also used to close the ends of hydraulic or pneumatic pipes and tubes. The plumbing apparatus of domestic, commercial, and industrial water supply lines, machinery, and processing equipment use them |
Advantages of the use of Buttweld Fittings |
A buttweld piping system has many inherent advantages over other types of piping systems. A fitting that is permanently leak proof is welded to the pipe Furthermore, the continuous metal structure between the pipe and fitting adds strength. Smooth inner surfaces and gradual directional changes reduce pressure losses and turbulence and minimize corrosion and erosion It takes up the least amount of space to install a welded system |
