DETAILED INFORMATION
As one of the leading importers and producers of Incoloy Forged Fittings and industrial steel composed of ferrous and nonferrous steel, Purohit Pipe Industries has been in business for many years. As per the specifications and instructions of our customers, we even design the entire fittings in a customized form. All of our fittings are thoroughly tested and examined before they are delivered to our clients. All of our products are of high quality. To ensure the safety of the fittings, we pack all of them well.
A forged fitting made from Incoloy 800/800HT/825 has both physical properties such as ultimate tensile strength, melting point, modulus of expansion, tensile strength, yield strength, thermal conductivity, elongation, electrical conductivity, proof stress, electrical resistivity, and density. When fittings are produced in the industry, these properties help them achieve better quality. Also included are specifications such as width, types, forms, tolerances, conditions, sizes, thicknesses, shapes, ends, surfaces, finishes, pressures, and lengths.
Due to the small amount of carbon in Incoloy Forged Fittings, they are resistant to carburization; therefore, they can be used in high-temperature structural applications. Additionally, they are resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking. In oil well piping systems, reducing and oxidizing acids are not a concern.

What is Incoloy 825 used for?
Besides nickel, iron, and chromium, Incoloy 825 also contains copper, molybdenum, and titanium. Nickel steel alloys are chemically designed to provide exceptional resistance to corrosive environments. It has better resistance to aqueous corrosion than alloy 800. Both reducing and oxidizing acids can be used on it, as well as stress-corrosion cracking and localized corrosion such as pitting and crevice corrosion. A special property of alloy 825 is its resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids. Chemical processing equipment, pollution control equipment, oil and gas well piping, nuclear fuel reprocessing equipment, acid production equipment, and pickling equipment are commonly made with this nickel steel alloy.
In what forms is Incoloy 825 available at Mega Mex?
- The sheet
- Platter
- Bar
- Tubes and pipes (welded and seamless)
- There are many types of fittings, including elbows, tees, stub-ends, returns, caps, crosses, reducers, pipe nipples, etc.)

What are the characteristics of Incoloy 825?
Excellent resistance to acids that reduce and oxidize
Resistant to stress-corrosion cracking
Pitting and crevice corrosion resistance satisfactory
Acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric are very resistant to this material
At temperatures up to approximately 1000°F, the material exhibits good mechanical properties
Up to 800°F wall temperature permitted for pressure vessels
Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT
The nickel-iron-chromium alloys Incoloy 800, 800H, and 800HT have excellent strength and resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. There is no difference between these nickel steel alloys except for the higher carbon content in alloy 800H, and the addition of up to 1.20 percent aluminum and titanium in alloy 800HT. To optimize stress rupture properties, Incoloy 800H was slightly modified from Incoloy 800. The modification was to control the amount of carbon (.05-.10%) and the grain size. The combined titanium and aluminum levels of Incoloy 800HT have been modified to ensure optimal high temperature properties (.85-1.20%). Due to its dual certification (800H/HT), the nickel alloy combines the properties of both. High temperature structural applications were intended for the Incoloy 800H/HT alloy. Alloys containing nickel are highly resistant both to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and to embrittlement caused by precipitation of sigma phases. There is excellent corrosion resistance in general. The creep and stress rupture properties of alloys 800H and 800HT are superior after solution annealing. The dual certified 800H/HT alloy is the only one available from most suppliers today, including Mega Mex.
While alloy 800H and 800HT are typically used in temperatures over 1100° F when creep and rupture resistance is required, Inconel 800 is typically used at temperatures up to 1100° F. The chemical balance of the nickel steel alloy allows it to exhibit excellent resistance to carburization, oxidation and nitriding atmospheres. Unlike many stainless steels, Incoloy 800HT does not become brittle after long periods of use between 1200°F and 1600°F. Nickel-chromium alloys like 800HT exhibit excellent cold forming characteristics. As a result of extensive cold forming, a visible undulated surface is produced, known as “orange peel”. There are a number of welding techniques that can be used on Incoloy 800HT, including those used on stainless steels.

- Exceptional resistance to both reducing and oxidizing acids
- Ensures that stress-corrosion cracks are avoided
- Prevents localized attacks such as pitting and crevice corrosion
- The material is highly resistant to oxidizing substances, such as nitric acid, nitrates, and oxidizing salts.
Heat Treatment
At 940°C, Incoloy 825 is stabilized and annealed. 980°C produces the softest structure. To avoid sensitization, sections heavier than sheet, strip, and wire should be quenched.

Boron is also present to strengthen the steel’s overall performance. Moreover, it provides satisfactory welding performance and good processing plasticity. Suitable for fabrication of high-temperature bearing components such as turbine disks, press plates, rotor blades and fasteners for aerospace engines operating at temperatures below 650°C, Fe-25Ni-15Cr possesses high yield strength and long-lasting creep strength at temperatures below 650°C.
