What are the Alloy 20 Forged Flanges?
The alloy 20 is a nickel-iron-chromium austenitic alloy that has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of environments, including sulfuric acid, due to its nickel-iron-chromium composition. The forged flanges made of Alloy 20 are used in piping systems that require a high level of corrosion resistance, such as plants that process chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and foodstuffs, as well as food processing plants.
The Alloy 20 Forged Flanges are made by forging the Alloy 20 material into a shape that resembles a flange. As a result of the forging process, the Alloy 20 material is shaped and compressed under high pressure and temperature, resulting in a dense and strong alloy. Flanges that are forged have excellent strength and toughness, and they are resistant to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking as well.
Forged Alloy 20 Flanges are available in a variety of sizes and types, including slip-on flanges, weld neck flanges, socket flanges, blind flanges, and threaded flanges.
